Value of Dollar drops Against Chile Peso

In many mission fields missionaries are experiencing a drop in support. This is not due to a lack of funds or lack of commitment from US churches, but from the drop in value of the US dollar. In Chile, for instance, the drop of the dollar has translated to a drop in support from 8-10% since the beginning of this year.

When this happens it can be tough for the missionary family because in many instances the option of picking up a part time job is not available. However, we know God will always provide. This de-valuing of the dollar simply means we must more than ever be wise stewards of the funds that God has entrusted to us.
